Wild Horse trip 2021

We went to the Wild Horse just to get a sticker on our camper.

We went to the Wild Horse just to get a sticker on our camper. We had a great weekend in Pendleton OR. We went to the Wild Horse Casino and stayed in their RV Park. Midway through our stay Chris and Travis showed up in their motor home coming back from Washington state. While we were there Erin and I dropped a few bucks in the slot machines and I was able to play a little Roulette. We were able to watch a couple of movies, one in their movie theater and another in our camper.

The Platform was a very mind bending and disturbing movie. Jungle Cruise was a good adventure tale. I would recommend either movie to anyone wanting a movie night.

While parked in the RV park Travis accidently crushed his cord on the wheel chair lift going into his motorhome. We did some trouble shooting and got it working again. The dogs had fun too walking around barking at the other dogs in the RV park.

Porch Awning

Emilee and Michael did a couples project and survived. I think there a good match for one and other. After asking for a bit of advice from me they both ran with the idea and got this done. Of course they borrowed the work trailer so they could use my tools but man this thing turned out awesome. Way to go guys!

“Thing!”

We did a thing and we call it “Thing”! We bought a new to us Ford F350 Super Duty a year early because the deal just fell into our lap. We worked with Rob Green GMC of Twin Falls on the deal and I think it will be a “lessons learned” opportunity for them to look at what they have before they quote a price to a customer.

Rob Green Rating:

Sales Associates – Excellent
Customer service – Good
Sales Manager – Bad
Loan Manager – Great

Both Brian and Rob the sales guys were excellent, both veterans, and understood what I was wanting for a secondary truck. Even though I came in off the street looking like a rag bag, they didn’t judge, listened to want I wanted and worked to make things happened the way I wanted them.

Rob Green took this truck in on trade a couple days before and no one had looked at the truck and they quoted me a price $6000 below book value that they should have been listed it at. After noticing their mistake, during the process of the deal the sale manager kept trying to increase the price by $3000 to try and recoup some of their losses. I noticed this every time and called them on it. By the end of the deal they still lost about $10,000 on what this truck should have sold for on the low end.

The sales manager needs some work, when I was about ready to walk out, with an attitude he asked me who quoted me that price and I pointed to the sales guy and the guys behind the big glass room. After I got a little bit mad and begin to get ready to walk out he then assured me that they would honor the price and all my terms of the deal, because at that point he new I wasn’t going to play their game. His attitude toward me sucked up until we started working on the finances and he found out who I worked for, then he completely changed.

I told them that I have bought a lot of vehicles from Lithia Ford of Boise and this is the first time in years that I was looking out side their company at a truck only because Rob Green had “THIS” truck at “THIS” price and if they were going to run some kind of shady deal I would just wait until Kimmy at Lithia had something I wanted and deal with them. I told them that I didn’t “NEED” this truck “I wanted it” and I could just leave it all the same.

After looking at all the paperwork real closely making sure everything was straight and on the up and up I signed the paperwork and a year earlier then we planned and brought Thing home. I now have two trucks, the F150 is my daily driver and the F350 is my work horse. Both trucks are tough enough to do any job that I would need them to but having the ability to choose is nice.
